Governor Jan Brewer Issues Endorsement for Congressional Candidate Gabriela Saucedo Mercer in District 3 Race

TUCSON, AZ – A major endorsement has been issued for Arizona Congressional Candidate Gabriela Saucedo Mercer. Governor Jan Brewer released the following statement supporting Saucedo Mercer for Congress:

“Southern Arizona has a fantastic opportunity this fall to send someone to Congress who will always support our state and fight for quality jobs, affordable energy and a secure border. That candidate is Gabriela Saucedo Mercer. While her incumbent opponent bows to unions and special interests, I’m proud to support Gabriela because I know she’ll always put Arizona first.”

National Border Patrol Council

Dear Gabriela,

On behalf of the nearly 3,500 rank and file men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol in the Tucson Sector, it is my pleasure to endorse you on your campaign for Arizona’s District 3.  Local 2544 is the largest law enforcement association in the state of Arizona, as well as the largest Border Patrol Local in the nation.  Our men and women patrol the busiest and most lawless corridor in the United States, with illegal alien arrests and narcotics seizures nearly doubling that of the 18 other Border Patrol Sectors throughout the United States combined.

You have brought a fresh approach to the political landscape and our men and women noticed this approach immediately on your recent tour of the border.  Agents saw firsthand your interest and concern in the important job and mission each of them performs on a daily basis.  This concern for the well being of our great nation became even more evident in your statements made to me during our border tour. You have solicited the help and input of rank and file Border Patrol Agents, and we are sure that when you are in office, the impact will be immediate.

Your no-nonsense approach and belief that our nation was founded on checks and balances afforded in our Great Constitution will be a refreshing change in a political climate controlled by special interests and the interests of self-serving politicians.  We hope you will accept our endorsement and our best wishes in your primary campaign.  We are confident you will win the primary and we look forward to working with you in the future.

Sincerely,

Arturo Del Cueto
President

Representative Brenda Barton

“Gabriela Saucedo Mercer, a naturalized citizen carries on that torch of freedom that brought so many to our shores.  Outspoken, feisty Gabby disarms you with her easy laugh and willingness to listen.  She’ll work hard for Arizona, she’ll work hard for the country she chose as her own.  I am quite pleased and honored to lend my name as endorsing Gabriela Saucedo Mercer for Congress.  She’ll make us proud and she won’t boycott Arizona!!”

Warm Regards,

Brenda

AUG 9, TUCSON, AZ – Arizona State Senator Al Melvin released the following statement today announcing his support for Gabriela Saucedo Mercer’s congressional campaign in District 3:

“It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my support for Gabriela Saucedo Mercer for Congress. Over the last few years, Mrs. Saucedo Mercer has contributed much to our community through her activism on issues concerning education, immigration, border security, defense and energy. She has also been responsible for letting our service men and women know they are not forgotten by sending out care packages to as many serving as possible. Her appreciation and love for this nation is what motivates her candidacy, and I am honored to endorse such a hard-working and inspiring American for congress. Gabriela Saucedo Mercer will add a touch of class to a district that has been largely misrepresented by the incumbent.”

Sincerely,

Senator Al Melvin

Ken Bennett
Secretary of State
State of Arizona
Bennett Endorses Gabriela Saucedo Mercer
“If the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result, voters should elect Gabriela Saucedo Mercer to Congress and stop the madness. Gabby understands the issues that matter most to the residents of southern Arizona. From education to jobs and the economy, it is time that we have a new advocate in Washington. “Gabby’s candidacy offers southern Arizona voters a real opportunity to end a decade of ineffective representation. Unbelievably, Congressman Grijalva led the charge for an economic boycott of his own state two years ago. Don’t we need a voice in Washington to fight for us, not against us? Let’s send Gabby to Washington to be a part of the solution, not the problem.”

Gabriela Saucedo Mercer endorsed by Arizona State Representative Steve Smith

AUGUST 6

TUCSON, AZ – Arizona State Senator Steve Smith announced his endorsement of Gabriela Saucedo Mercer for congress in the following statement released today:

“As the Vice-Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Border Security, Federalism and States Sovereignty, it is an honor to endorse Gabriela Saucedo Mercer for Congress in District 3. I am confident Gabriela Saucedo Mercer will lead the fight in securing our border, enforcing current immigration laws and being a true representative of the people in District 3 as well as across Arizona. District 3 is the gateway of illegal traffic which threatens our national security.

“Gabriela Saucedo Mercer is an inspiration to all who seek to pursue the American Dream.

SEPTEMBER 6, 2012-Jaime Vasquez

The people of District 3 have spoken and now, I am speaking up as well. It is my pleasure to announce that I am endorsing Gabriela Saucedo Mercer for Congress and am encouraging all my supporters to stand with me in supporting Gabriela in her campaign against Raul Grijalva.

Gabriela Saucedo Mercer’s values are our values. We stand united in our commitment to restoring our nation and returning job opportunities and choices to Arizonans.

Please join me in supporting Gabriela Saucedo Mercer for Congress.

Thank you,

Maggie’s List

It is an honor to receive Maggie’s List endorsement and also a tremendous help because even though I have been actively involved with the Republican party for four years, this being my first time running for office, I appreciate the help to get my message out to the voters.  Maggie’s List understands the need female candidates have and the support they need to get elected.  I appreciate what Maggie’s List does in terms of providing training and GOTV efforts, and most important for me, is the availability of the powerful support from the active state chairwomen who work tirelessly to help candidates like me.
